Application to Teacher Education Program Deadlines

Teacher Education Application for traditional program - Submitting your Teacher Education Admission Application on/before the priority deadline ensures that your application will be reviewed before pre-enrollment begins for the following semester.

• February 15 (priority deadline for those seeking admission for summer/fall)
• September 15 (priority deadline for those seeking admission for spring)

Student Teaching Application for traditional program - Late applications will not be accepted.

• February 15 (hard deadline – application available on January 1)
• September 15 (hard deadline – application available on August 1) 

Transition to Teaching

Candidates hired to start teaching in the Fall semester, must have all requirements met (qualifying coursework, 2.75 GPA, score report for passing Praxis test) and on file with FHSU Licensure Office by first day of Fall FHSU classes in August.

Candidates hired after the start of FHSU Fall classes and planning to enter the program in January must have all requirements met (qualifying coursework, 2.75 GPA, score report for passing Praxis test) and on file with FHSU Licensure Office by two weeks prior to start of Spring semester classes in January.
